SimWorx Background

SimWorx was born as a LabMeC spinoff. LabMeC is the Computational Mechanics Laboratory in the Civil Engineering Institute at State University of Campinas (UNICAMP).

LabMeC’s mission is strongly aligned with technology transference, acting as a driver for that purpose in the Industry to Academia relationship.

The R&D contracts LabMeC established with a variety of industries (from Oil to Air Space) provided the necessary funding for its evolution. Such contracts (with Embraer and Petrobras for example) were very demanding and such an environment forged highly trained professionals.
