AcidSurface

AcidSurface is a helping tool for the assessment of a rock surface subjected to an acid attack. The application integrates a visualization tool kit as its scientific visualization component.

A 3D scanner bombards the surface prior and after the acid attack providing the required data for consumed volume and statistical parameters computations. Additionally, the user defines which mapping (point matching) that best represents the sample images before and after etching occurrence.
