Expert tool for analysis and design of fracking operations.

The objective of this project is to develop a set of computational tools that help technicians throughout the development of a hydraulic fracturing project, from choosing the dimension and characteristics of the fracture, through the design of fluids required for the operation and analysis of pressure tests for the calibration of parameters and evaluation of obtained fracture.

SimWorx was responsible for the mathematical formulation as well as the development of a simulator which estimates the productivity of a fractured vertical well. A novel technological approach was applied making the application capable of assessing the filtration process of fracking fluids deployed in gas plays with extremely low permeability (Tight gas sands).
