The ProDiv software was designed for Petrobras to raise the effectiveness of matrix treatments and improve the flow distribution along extended horizontal wells.
The software calculates the open flow area distribution along the well in a manner that the flow is spread uniformly throughout the entire extension of the well.
The software can also be used to determine the optimal location for Inflow Control Devices along the well extension to delay water and gas production extending the useful lifetime of the oil well.
