WellWorx is a powerful well simulator for flow analysis, well design and production optimization of oil and gas reservoirs.
Coupling the well and reservoir flow in the same mathematical model greatly improves the accuracy of the predicted flow rate.
WellWorx users can input a broad selection of variables, from completion components and accessories, such as sand control systems, geometry, reservoir characteristics, and many others to run and compare simulation for several completion designs side-by-side to easily find the ideal design that yields the optimal production.
The well simulator integrates technologies not commonly available in other commercial simulators. Assisted by our application’s numerical model, WellWorx replicates well productivity with a much higher degree of fidelity and accuracy.
Simulation results are presented through charts where computed variables are plotted over time, such as production, accumulated volume, pressure mapping along the well, and flow rate distribution. Different designs can be compared to each other seamlessly with MatchWorx app.
Results can also be visualized with state of the art computer graphics applications such as ParaviewTM and VTKTM, for datailed scientific data exploration.
WellWorx simulates vertical, horizontal or sloped wells, with different azimuths, lengths and diameters. This helps our users choose the best well solution for each reservoir or oilfield. In the video below we’re assessing two potential locations.
In this one, a horizontal multi-staged fracked well (3 and 2 fracs in each stage). Post processed using ParaView. Well put on production in a transient analysis.
Technological features:
- Robust hybrid kernel that combines the best numerical methodologies for each application, including Finite Element, Discontinuous Galerkin and Finite Volume.
- Fully unstructured meshes with multi-morphology elements.
- Multi-dimensional mesh combining 1D, 2D and 3D elements in the same simulation.
- Complex mesh adaptivity methodology.
